Sony Online Entertainment: Perpetuating Stereotypes

Sony Seeks... Well... Girls

I echo Keith Stuart's reaction.

Honestly, I wonder whether guys are flattered or insulted by such marketing tactics. Sure it's great to look at pretty women, but really, when companies appear to market their goods in this fashon all the time, makes you wonder whether they actually respect the player's intelligence. Do they really believe that most people buy games because of eye candy? Don't answer that question. *sigh*

Stuart also made a good point about the "sizeable minority" of women MMORPG players. Way to alienate and discourage half the population from playing EverQuest, Sony.
